That’s actually good news that says Lakers may be considering being hardcapped to get the right playmaker because to do that they need to make sure to move Kuzma and KCP $13 million contracts to create room for third star under hard cap.

I think that means most people see what Kuz is…a solid rotation player…not JT

The Lakers: Howzabout Kyle Kuzma and KCP for…hello? Hello? bad connection, I guess…
The League; No need to call us back, we’re not interested.
Neither player did the front office any favors with their generally mediocre play last season and especially in the playoffs. If your resume’ has “plays great with LeBron James but not so great without him” there are 29 teams that are probably looking for someone else. We really just do not have the assets to trade for superstar level talent, nor the draft picks for a couple more seasons. Another reason why I’d rather keep the young guys we do have and see if any of the $13 million dollar role guys break out a little and up their value.

There was an interesting nugget from Woj, in that interview that I don’t think was made public. He says Dennis actually had COVID not nearly out due to tracing protocols. He also said he was sick that I don’t believe came out. If that’s the case that could explain some of his play especially as the series wore on and fatigue set in. It was also interesting to hear him say that the Lakers probably resign him. It’s definitely going to get interesting.

This is truly crazy season. Just saw an article that Woj says Lakers may be interested in Rubio. They posted the above interview. If you listen to the interview he mentioned Rubio in passing as an example of an alternative to Dennis. Not that the Lakers are pursuing him. This is why I take everything I read with a grain of salt.

Rubio wouldn’t be fall back plan if we failed to land one of the names. I doubt that the TWolves would want Dennis or Harrell. But you could send one of them in a three way to a team with something the TWolves would want.

There is so much misinformation out there right now because of agents and teams positioning themselves that it’s hard to tell what’s real from fake.
Fireworks will start next Thursday with the draft and then Monday with free agency. Just over a week to go. Can’t wait.
We were talking on the podcast we just finished about how the playin tourney has increased the number of teams looking to win now and make the playoffs. More teams want to win now.

I have long suspected that Dennis had Covid. That’s the reason for his sudden loss of energy and the fatigue he was visibly exhibiting as the playoffs get underway. That’s what Covd does. Too bad he didn’t get vaccinated which was entirely his fault. Am willing to give him another chance, but not as a starter. He is better suited coming off the bench.
