You’re representing your country not yourself…I think that’s the big takeaway honestly…athletes like Dame Dolla and Rapinoe are independent contractors, or political agents selfishly using USA 🇺🇸 on your jersey…Can’t be about country when you only think of yourself…truth hurts
I’ve always had a problem with people who believe standing for the national anthem is required if you love and respect your country. As great as America is, there were and are more than enough tragedies and injustices that should not be ignored. Kneeling to show your support for injustice is a personal choice.
Everything is political, Sean, including the Olympics.
It started back in 1968 with Tommie Smith and John Carlos raising black gloved fists and continued with the rainbow celebration from Megan Rapinoe and the USA women’s soccer team victory.
I know some wish it wasn’t that way but the issues have become so dominant that nothing, including the pandemic, is safe from being politicized.
I do think it’s gone way too far but don’t see any way back in my lifetime. Maybe yours, Sean. We’ll see.

Sue Bird is a flag bearer yet her wife Megan Rapinoe kneels at the flag…Seriously you’re either for Freedom or you’re not…

Our athletes don’t represent Canada and say it’s an awful place, either.

The Olympics shouldn’t be political Tom. You’re old enough to realize this
