Realistically, yes because they make too much money to compete against younger teams that were built organically and don’t have 2 guys eating up 2/3rd’s of the cap. But also realistically, Jeanie doesn’t have the cajones to start the rebuild until she’s milked every last ounce from those two, can’t stand the thought of being irrelevant again, and has that nonsensical “we know how to treat our stars on the way out” narrative she has to stick to.
They’ve also got to be thinking pushing for a new arena with the Clips now having one, and no one wants to roll into that building with a 20 win squad.

Lakers going to milk LeBron like they did Kobe. I do agree that they should start thinking of their own arena. They need that revenue stream to augment their current revenue to stay competitive.

LBJ has given the same as he almost always has, not his fault that we made bad moves and the young guys being injured time and time again. Might want to tempt LBJ to opt out and join Warriors or another good fit for him to win Ring 5.

‘Cept back when he was giving those numbers in his prime he also played incredible defense. That translated to wins. Today, not so much. I know you’re pretty a simple fan who makes all his assumptions on counting stats, but even you can tell the difference between wins and losses.
