I agree but Lakers do not want to give up that first round pick.
They need to move a swap for a couple of seconds.

Not worth it. Plus the Lakers would have send out 6 more million to match Wiggins 28 mil to make it work. So that is 3 contracts. Leaving us with only 13 players and no money to fill the mandatory 14 spot. If we had draft capital we could pay someone to take a player but we don’t. This would maybe be the worst move we could make. Tossing good, playable players at a 33 year old on the downside of his career? Ayton could have a redemption year, I am kind of counting on it. As for Smart, 32 hobbled by injuries. It would be better saving a roster spot for when he is bought out. By the way your 3 for one Smart trade would give the Wizard 18 players under contract. Think they do that trade for a distant 2nd rounder? They would have cut and eat salary for 3 players. As for Wiggins he doesn’t make us better.

I prefer Shake to Smart at this point, hell, promote Swider.

It appears that the Wiggins trade is dead after the Heats ridiculous asking price. So I wonder who the target would be. Our lack of draft capital really hurts. A rebuilding team isn’t going to do it without draft capital attached and a good team would really want the players we would send out.
