All this does is create a better looking version of an exploding volcano. It’s going to pop. Russ coming over does nothing for Bradley Beal. He will still want out.
This slows the development of Rui Hachimura. Rui is a great player and has to develop a 3 pt game. So the Wizards will play Russ Beal Bertans Bryant and possibly another guard at the expense of Rui’s development.
This franchise can change coaches and FO all they want. Different dumpster, same garbage.
You have to win some games with defense. And Rui is the only positive defender they have. Lopez should help stabilize the rim protection issues they had. I still don’t think they jump into the Top 6 in the East. And things could change, but Hawks Pacers and Magic all play better defensively.
They could make the playoffs in the east. Especially as a play-in. But that’ll be as far as that goes.
