Better to give that last spot to as young player like Cam Oliver. Lakers now have excellent 11-man rotation with Rondo and Jordan as break-glass-in-case-of-emergency players.

Bravo! Terrific read, Vinay. I’ve been a big proponent of the Lakers trading for Russ and staunch critic of the pundits’ reactions to his potential impact on the Lakers. In the end, he’s a legitimate third superstar whose motor will ignite LeBron, AD, and the rest of the Lakers.
Like I said above: Russ gonna be Russ. He’ll light a fire, nigh tear the rim down then miss 10 straight and follow that up with the game winning play. All this ‘motor’ talk makes me realize how under-appreciated Trezz was tho
I think Russ understands that he will need to modify his shot selection on offense and be more attentive on defense playing on the Lakers and with superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
