While some feel the obvious trade would be Harden and Simmons, I think a Harden and Embiid trade would make more sense for both teams. Simmons is not enough to get Harden but Embiid might be, especially since Morey left Houston in a tough roster situation by trading Capella. Also, Morey wants to play small ball and by trading Embiid for Harden, he’s back with a similar guard duo to what he had with the Rockets with Harden and Westbrook now being Harden and Simmons. Big difference being Simmons is a better playmaker and defender. If anybody could pull this off, Morey would be the GM. The process continues …

DM will say all the right things right now, they haven’t even gone to work yet with the players. But one of the two will be gone by the deadline, if not before, and the other will be gone the following summer.
