They’ll likely win 60+ games again in a weak conference. AND again, they’ll lose likely in the ECF (They could be beat in the Semi’s again)
Milwaukee would be the 1st NBA Franchise in History to win 60+ games in 3 straight seasons and not make the NBA Finals.
7 Seconds or Less Suns played in a tougher Western Conference and barely eclipsed 60+ wins only twice.
And regardless of perception, If Giannis can’t get the Bucks over the top it will be on him. Couldn’t get over on Kawhi, the Heat and possibly the KD led Nets.
He’s the 4th best player in the NBA right now: 1. LeBron 2. AD 3. KD 4. Giannis
I think the Bucks entire season comes down to whether Giannis accepts or declines the supermax offer, which he has to do before the season starts on December 22nd.
I think there are four possible scenarios that could happen:
1. He announces he is going to accept the spermax and stay with the Bucks, in which case your projection has a good chance to happen.
2. He announces well before December 22nd that he’s not going to accept the supermax, in which case the Bucks may decide to trade him now to get maximum return because teams will have a full season to convince him to re-sign or he demands a trade to a team like the Heat, Mavs, or Lakers.
3. He waits until the last minute and declines the supermax, in which case the Bucks probably trade him before the trade deadline to avoid losing him for nothing in free agency.
4. He waits until the last minute and declines the supermax and the Bucks get off to a great start and decide not to trade him at the trade deadline and instead to gamble on him staying or at least getting a S&T next offseason.
Steve Nash’ Suns, had to deal with with more obstacles, in a tougher conference with HOF talent on their team and against them…
I notice the same energy that was flaming the Suns, isn’t coming for the Bucks, on social media and in the NBA journo community: Just saying. Steve Nash had a harder road to track than Giannis.
