100% yes it could.
I don’t see any other way for pro sports to survive other than in a bubble. Might lead to my split season idea. Double Bubble!!! First half of the season is played to see who becomes an A team and who becomes a B team. Second half of the season, the As’ play the A’s and the B’s play the B’s. Best B’s get to play #7 and #8 A’s in a play-in tourney. Better games and matchups will get the league more interest and revenue.
Every pro sport is going to get stuck in the Bubble format for the foreseeable future. This pandemic is not going anywhere anytime soon.
