      KNICKS GET:
      -Rui Hachimura
      -Gabe Vincent
      -Shake Milton
      -2025 2nd round pick via Wizards #40
-2026 first-round pick swap via Lakers

      LAKERS GET:
      -Josh Hart
      -Miles McBride
      -Mitchell Robinson

      WIZARDS GET:
      -Dalton Knecht

    • Might be the best fake trade yet, not sure NY makes this deal (especially with how well MR has played in the playoffs) but I’d do this one.

      • These click bait trades make me laugh. I’m sure the Knicks those 3 for basically Rui and a 2nd.

    • LeBron and DFS May make that harder

      • I’m sure the Lakers would be favorites if they had the cap space. But now we are looking at perhaps the tax payer MLE of around 6 mil. There isn’t many teams with cap space this summer but I’m sure he will get at least the full MLE.

THE WIN-WIN LAKERS-MAVS TRADE WE NEED!

    • If Harrison somehow holds on to his job, he’d be a fool to do anything to remind that fanbase of trading Luka to the Lakers. But he’s shown to be capable of doing the inexplicable sooo….

      • Okay so the Mav’s trade for AD because they want to build a champion level defense. So they turn around and 3 defenders for no defense, Dalton, shaky defense Austin and a decent defender in Rui but not as good as PJ. How exactly is that a win for the Mav’s?

        • The Mavs have loads of defense and still will after the trade. They need 3-point shooting and playmaking. What they don’t have is a replacement for Kyrie or a second elite playmaker like Austin Reaves to stagger with him and elite volume 3-point snipers, which Rui is and Knecht could be.

    • You always go for the home run Tom, even when it is not in the best interest of the other team. Max is two years younger than Dalton and one of the better young defenders in the league, on a 8 mil for the next 3 years contract. Dallas played him 30 minutes a game and like us he took on the best guard on the other team. While Dalton was benched for not playing defense. Max shot .366 from 3 on 4 attempts, while Dalton shot .377 on 4.4 attempts. Don’t think they give up that kind of defense for Dalton. By the way while Rui shot 41% from 3 PJ was no slouch at 38%. I also can’t imagine Dallas trading two more fan favorites to the Lakers. While I’m sure they would love to get Austin, that package would be very expensive for them. I don’t see it happening.

    • lol…Josh Giddey isn’t on the team anymore.

    • It will be interesting to see how they use all those picks. This year they have 14 guys on guaranteed contracts. They 5 with team options but 2 are Holgram and Williams and the 3rd is Wallace an important role player. They have 2 first and a 2nd. Not sure if they let the other two walk. This is a team with 3 stars so I don’t think they trade for another one because of the CBA. They could look to trade picks for future picks. In that case the Lakers should talk to them about our distant first. Or they could draft and stash foreign players. They will need to figure something out because they have than they can realistically use.

    • Nothing is guaranteed but they have the framework in place to be great for the next 5 years if they continue to make smart moves.

    • FROM THE ABOVE ARTICLE:

Los Angeles Lakers: Finding a Center
LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers need to find a center this offseason after trading Anthony Davis.

      2024-25 result: 50-32, playoff record 1-4
      2025 draft: No. 55
Starting payroll: $191.6 million (over the tax with James, etc.)
      Exceptions: TMLE
Minimum payroll: $123.3 million ($31.3 million in space)
Likely max: $207.8 million (under second apron)
      Initial tax: $25.5 million

The Lakers don’t have a tough decision with Luka Dončić. They’ll offer him a four-year, $229 million maximum extension as soon as they’re allowed to and hope he takes it. Landing a superstar is the hardest step in team-building, but the Lakers historically find a way to get that done.

Assuming LeBron James picks up his $52.6 million player option or re-signs on another two-year deal with a second-year player option, the Lakers must find a way to land a starting center this offseason. With the Mark Williams debacle behind them, they may try to swing a similar deal involving Dalton Knecht (perhaps along with future draft picks) for the best starting center they can get.

Projection: Look for the Lakers to try to get someone like Daniel Gafford from the Dallas Mavericks, who may be unlikely to trade with L.A. in the near future given the fallout from the Dončić deal.
