-Health defining the NBA this season. Wheeee…
-Jokic getting tossed was absurd, wouldn’t have changed much though.
-we most certainly did not run it back after the banner season. No Dwight, no Green, no Dwight…etc. I don’t even think we kept 6 of the top 8.
-LT will die on Drummond Hill, lol. While I agree that Drummond is not the center of the future, per se, for the right price I can see him being a Laker for awhile.

-To Gerald’s point on the roster: can we realistically expect LeBron and AD to be close to 100% without the circumstances that created the Bubble? 4 months off was a blessing for us.

-is there a world where we see the center position relegated to, essentially, goal keeper? Leave the big man back on the opposite end unless they’re out on a break and finishing?

-We learned that health is the number one stat a team needs to do well in to have a chance

I haven’t been a big follower of international basketball competition so I don’t remember Oscar Schmidt scoring 55 points except as a reference for Luka’ great game.
I do remember Len Bias, however, and his death after using cocaine and how the Celtics karma seemed to be permanently damaged after that. Great player.
T-Mac got lost in Orlando. Put him in LA or NY and he would be in many of those conversations about great point guards. The size of the market can impact a player’s legacy.

1 win in the books and 15 more to go. Can we match last year’s run of 16 wins and just 4 losses in playoffs? Probably not but we’re looking better each game, which is what we need to see.
Great games from LeBron and AD. This may be the year where it’s AD who wins the Finals MVP award. If he continues to average over 30 ppg and 10 rbp, this could be his year.

Lively debate, L-Rob has Drummond’s back, Magicman dropping science and LT and I agree that the Laker spacing is a huge issue but that there are no easy fixes given the personnel. Ayton going to be an issue nobody predicted. Just another reason why they play the games. Good stuff.

I’d like to take this moment to amend what I blithely blurted out in regards to HOFer Magic Johnson. It’s not his skill, determination or greatness I was attempting to critique but rather the small holes we try to put players into in order to fit into a modern concept of the NBA. I’m not sure the modern NBA team would have recognized his greatness is what I was attempting to stipulate. Thanks to the panel and especially LRob for the call out and the corrections.
