Seriously, though, Waiters could be a game changer for the Lakers beyond this season. People forget he was a #4 overall draft pick and is still just 28-years old. He’s just a year older than AD.
It’s not ridiculous to think he could be the third star the Lakers have been looking for and on a very inexpensive contract. If we do win the championship and Dion is a major contributor, the Lakers should look to sign him to a two year contract, which combined with this season would lock up his Bird rights going forward.
