Couple of points about Kuzma’s extension. First, Rob obviously talks to Frank Vogel and the coaching staff about players before giving them extensions but does he include LeBron James and Anthony Davis on those decisions? I would think he would based on what they’ve said in the past and it makes total sense. You want to know your superstars are on board with long term deals.
Second, how will this deal affects Kuzma’s play, especially knowing LeBron and AD probably voted to extend him? It’s a smart move for Kyle as it guarantees $40 million, which is generational money for him and his family regardless. I like he chose not to get greedy and gamble and wait for a bigger paycheck in free agency. Says something about appreciating team chemistry, his teammates, the organization, and winning. Kuz making a smart move to sign the extension.
