After his role in helping the Lakers win a championship with a particularly strong playoff run, Rondo is expected to command free-agent interest that exceeds the Lakers' budget constraints. Trading for Schroder is an adroit pre-emptive move

Still like to keep Rondo at $6M per year.
Don’t want to see him go to Clippers.
Would be nice, but Caruso is raising his game and LBJ likes playing with him.
Caruso is great but he’s not a point guard or playmaker.
I would like to see Schroder start at the one and Rondo back him up
I don’t think Rondo can get more than the Taxpayer $5.6M MLE.
Lakers should pay $6M to get him back. But only 1-year deal.
He may get multiple year offer from Clippers @ $5.6 per year.
