Jokic had 9 post scoring possessions tonight vs the Lakers.
Vs single coverage he had 4 points in 3 possessions (1.33 points per possession).
Vs LA bringing help (from the high side) he had 3 points in 6 possessions (0.5 points per possession). pic.twitter.com/nt3K54uDVf

LOL. Guess we didn’t need Dwight Howard or JaVale McGee after all.
Not in this game, but you know playoffs are a diff ball game.
Yes, playoffs are en entirely different beast.
Last year, we needed JaVale and Dwight in the regular season to save wear and tear on AD but they became unplayable in the playoffs except for Dwight against Joker. I do think it would help to add a third center, however, but I’m liking how Trezz has been playing. We don’t leave him on island like the Clippers did and with help, he did a great job on Nikola.
I still think the key to defense in the NBA is still TEAM rather than INDIVIDUAL defense. I love the chaos all the trapping, hedging, and doubling the Lakers swarming small ball defense does to the opponent’s defenses. Creates total confusion and turnovers that fuel our fast break offense. Means there is always help and helpers rotating. That’s when defense is like offense but without the ball.
Trezz also has the entire team taking charges. Kuz has elevated his defense as has Dennis. Once AD gets his championship mojo back, Lakers will be unstoppable. I’m still a little worried about Gasol. He had another game where he did little on offense except stay out of the paint. He’s becoming unplayable.
Frank pulled him after only 5 minutes when the second half started and went small the rest of the way. He needs to hit his threes and make some plays for others. 0-4 from the field, 0-2 from deep, 1 assist. Did get 1 steal and 1 block but worst defensive rating on team for the game.
