I wonder if part of the reason the Lakers are loading up on guards is that they know that their only non-minimum matching salary for trades is THT and Nunn. Maybe they're preparing for the possibility of an in-season trade and want to have replacements in-house already.

It’s a logical conclusion if the Lakers want to make a move at the trade deadline or next summer. It’s why I wanted them to re-sign Caruso and get another player for Schroder. Being limited to just THT and Nunn as trading chips is going to hurt.
