Great podcast with Gerald, Sean, and myself discussing the Lakers likely starting, closing, and other lineups for the coming season.
Please listen if you want to hear the best arguments for starting and closing games with Russ at the 1, LeBron at the 4, and AD at the five. https://t.co/4GNnfYOj9b

Great podcast with Gerald and Rafael. Congratulations to Rafael on getting engaged to be married. Rafael entering an entirely new chapter in his life. Couldn’t be happier. Best of good wishes and good luck. Remember: happy wife, happy life.

Congrats Raf!!! Being married is a ton of fun, always nice to have a partner/backup and hopefully there will be some mini-Barlowe’s running around, canning step back threes real soon! Dallas and Hawaii…kinda similar.
Portland needs to dedicate themselves more on defense. Not sure who they got that moves that needle a lot. LNJ, I suppose, Snell maybe?
Health is defining trait in the NBA. Phoenix and Milwaukee: healthy, played deep and strong. Every other team except Atlanta and New York (too young).
Is there a player more toxic than Ben Simmons right now? Nope…
Philly needs to decide how they want to move forward and not get overly tied up in the return on Simmons. You will not be getting a superstar player back unless it’s John Wall, that’s it. I can’t see a GM looking at a budding or arrived star talent and parting with them for SImmons. You’re gonna be lucky to get a top ten first-rounder. Otherwise they’re going to experience Kawhi as a Spur 2.0 but with a far smaller market for their guy.

Read MoreThe guys from lakerholics.com are back as LakerTom, Jamie Sweet, “MagicMan” Sean Grice, and Gerald Glassford talk about the Marc Gasol trade sending the big man back to his longtime home in Memphis. Will this be the end of his storied career in the NBA? And what about the Lakers getting the rights to Chinese basketball center Wang Zhelin in return? Could he play someday for the team? Plus with Gasol now gone, the door opens up for the newest arrival DeAndre Jordan, but where do we see him contributing? And do we think the move was a good one for the Lakers? We talk about all of this and if we’re “bearing or balding” on the latest Lakers Fast Break podcast!

I thought this was one of the better recent podcasts. Great sprited conversation with Gerald, Jamie, and Sean. Take a listen and give us a 5 star review on Apple podcasts. Thanks.
Not a lot of love for DeAndre. In fact, i just published an article where I predicted him to be a DNP, even though I was in favor of replacing Marc with him because I prefer his rim protection and dunks over Marc’s reluctance stretch five role.
Big part for me is I believe having only Dwight and DeAndre makes it certain that AD is going to start and play most minutes at the five. That will be the difference maker for the Lakers’ regular season.
The regular season is where you work on your game and develop chemistry, experience, and figure out how to play your best. Thinking you can just switch it up when you get to the playoffs is a pipe dream. Only reason it worked for Lakers in the bubble is that LeBron and AD shot extremely well from midrange and deep, far better than ever before in the playoffs.
Lakers can’t count on that happening again. They need to work hard all season to fine tune their small ball attacks and hit the playoffs with a well tuned machine that will shut down the Nets.

Lakers Quietly Transforming Team Into 3-Point Offensive Juggernaut!
Don’t look now but the Los Angeles Lakers have been quietly transforming what has been one of the league’s worst 3-point shooting teams this season into a legitimate top-5 3-point shooting modern offensive juggernaut.

5 Things: Finding Some Grit
65 games in and the team is starting to look a little sterner, little grittier. One of the ugliest first halves I’ve seen since the 90’s man. The win was one of the more impressive of the season, in my opinion. 1) Luka finding solace on the court. Sounds like his personal life has been […]

Good to get at least part of the Lakerholics gang back on a podcast. Great job by Gerald and Sean. What a pleasure to talk about Russ at the 1, LeBron at the 4, and FINALLY AD at the 5.
Biggest news of the offseason? Lakers committing to play small. If any Lakers fan wants to understand why LeBron and AD need to move to the 4 and 5 to make Russ at the 1 work, this is the podcast to listen to.
I just listened to the podcast again on this morning’s hike and thought it was one of the best we’ve ever done. Gerald ran the pod like the host extraordinaire he is and Sean AKA Magicman chimed in with some terrific takes sprinkled with key historical stats on playmaking via Russ, Rondo, and LeBron.
Give us a listen. If you love the Lakers, you will love this podcastr and be as excited as we are for the Lakers’ upcoming championship quest for #18.
