Great job and a mountain of work putting this together, Gerald. It’s truly another terrific medley of the best of the Lakers Fast Break podcasts. Lakers Fast Break’s first year will always be a classic and this 3rd Best of version will be a great way to rejoice and recall the Lakers 17th championship. Always seems to be normal for a championship team to have a ring ceremony before a game and then get off to a slow start and lose the game. Lakers were obviously slow out of the gate giving the Clippers a 22-point first quarter lead, which they valiantly eliminated with an excellent second quarter. But like often happens when a team has to exert so much energy to come back, the ran out of gas the last few minutes of the third quarter as the Clippers took control by 10 and a rod hot PG kept them at bay the rest of the game. Chalk the loss up to the ring ceremony and an early season where the team is still in preseason form.
