If Lakers cannot get rid of McGee for nothing, this is a trade that would work if Marc tells the Raps he wants to go to LA. It’s basically a trade of McGee for Gasol and Kuzma for Boucher.
The Raps get a serviceable backup center in JaVale and talented young player with great potential in Kuzma for a player they might lose for nothing.
The Lakers get their starting center and a young player who shoots the three better than Kyle and has great hops and potential who can play the 4 or 5.
And clears $1.4M in cap space to re-sign Morris for more than the $3.6M BAE the Clippers have. Could give him $4.0M and still be under the hard cap.
