I would love to see Giannis either sign with Milwaukee or get traded to Miami so the Lakers would stop the silly cap space saving and waiting for him like they did for Kawhi. We were lucky the lost opportunity cost spent on Kawhi didn’t cost us the championship. Can’t afford to wait. All our competitors are going to be loading up this offseason.
As for Giannis in Miami, they’re planning on keeping Bam, which will mean a front court that can’t shoot. I’ll take AD and LeBron against Bam and Giannis any day. In fact, the likelihood of that happening is a danger as LeBron ages and why the Lakers need to move soon to add a young stud guard. Go hard after Jrue Holiday. Kuzma, THT, Green, McGee, and Pick plus taking off protection on their remaining two picks would do it.
Sure, sure…but what would you say if GA ended up in the P&G? You’d be thrilled, that’s what you’d say, lol, and so would I. Future of the League right there.
Yeah, I would be thrilled but also worried because he needs to develop a midrange and 3-point shot to get to the next level. I seriously hope he signs with Bucks or gets traded to Miami. I don’t see him and Bam as a modern fit. Lopez is a better center fit.
Now if the Heat trade Bam as part of the deal, that’s make sense. But remember how AD destroyed the Heat because of Bam’s lack of gravity outside the paint?
Lakers may play ‘small ball’ style but it won’t be with small players. We want to get bigger AND more skilled as shooters as defenders. That’s the modern direction the Lakers are going.
