Great to see Mathews shake off the cow webs and come up big. I have not given up on him. Here’s hoping he can finally go on a hot streak. He played a great game.
Like to see Morris do the same. In a way, Vogel benched what might be the two best long range shooters on the roster when he cut them out of the rotation.
I still like the idea of a rotating 9-man rotation where 2 guys get a night off every third or fourth game. Keeps everybody fresh and ready to play rather than languishing on the bench for multiple games. Take advantage of our great depth.
That’s exactly my thoughts. First, Mathews and Morris’s three-point shooting is something the team really needs. Second, alternating the 9 man rotation every few games will lighten the workload across the board. Vogel would have to walk a fine line so as not to throw a player who is riding a hot streak off rhythm. Excellent point, Tom.
Thanks, Buba
