The Los Angeles Lakers made their preseason debut on Monday night with a 105-75 loss to the Sacramento Kings.
Wins and losses don’t really matter in preseason. Neither does the score. But L.A. fans are understandably wary of their team after a disastrous 2021-22 NBA campaign that saw them miss the playoffs altogether.
So when the Lakers struggled in this meaningless outing, fans didn’t bother to sugarcoat things.
They booed.

Unfortunately, game was blacked out in NorCal courtesy of the Sacramento Kings. Not even on Sirius XM. Russ played well as did AD. LeBron mailed it in and the rest of the team sucked. Lakers need to make the trade ASAP.

Nobody was booing in the 1st half when this still resembled an actual NBA game. AD played well without injuring himself, Russ did good Russ things, Lebron missed some bunnies, PatBev brought alotta energy. Then the 2nd half came and D.Ham threw the youngsters out there to run around for 24 minutes along with Nunn & Bryant to knock the rust off. Gabriel made a good bid to garner more meaningful reps. In other words, a typically raggedy 1st preseason game.

For the fans it felt like an emotional release, especially in the second half. Everyone thought a trade was gonna happen. Hasn’t yet and might not for awhile. The bench vs. bench segment was a bummer mainly because all our young guys with something to prove went out and proved that they still have a lot to prove. The bench gonna be a bigger issue than Russ soon.
