Josh, excellent article and I agreed completely with each of your takes. Been lobbying for Kuz to get a shot at starting at the 2 although I think it will be Dennis at the 1 and KCP at the 2 and can’t argue against that. Also loved you take on THT. He’s my dream starter at the 1.
I’ve been lobbying for Vogel to sit 2 or 3 players each game to create an 8 or 9 man matchup lineup for each opponent. Would solve 11 man roster, load management, and possible Covid-19 problems. I think a THT, Kuzma, Bron, AD, and Gasol lineup would be ideal against the Clippers.
Defensively, would give Lakers 4 players with size, length, and physicality to guard Kawhi and PG. Offensively, would give Lakers 5 3-point shooters to play 5-out, 4 attack dogs to get to the rim off the bounce, and 3 playmakers to hit open shooters. Lakers version of small ball.
