Wow, what a coincidence to score that iconic number on Kobe Bryant’s day. I didn’t even pay attention to that until you mentioned it. You can’t ask for a better number to match Kobe’s on this special occasion. How about the 8 assists to match number 8?

I won’t be. This is, essentially, his rookie season. Has yet to play through a true NBA season and for everyone who points to players who are succeeding without fans as being a reason why they’re playing as good as they are, well, that also would have to include THT. We haven’t seen him play brilliantly in Boston with 1,00’s of screaming Massachussians screaming for his head or in Oracle with the crowd going nuts with every Steph 3 over his long arms and so on. So let’s pump the brakes on the future HOF credentials, the starting spot and just about everything but “the kid is good, he can better and is in the right place for that to happen”. That’s exactly as far as I take my predictions with THT.
Also, for everyone saying players like McGee and Howard were unplayable in the playoffs, save Houston THT was also unplayable. Not trying to denigrate the young man whom I am also high on, just stating dem facts. If the coaching staff puts him in the starting line up we’ll know he’s ready. When talking head from SB nation or whatever says it I file that one under ‘doesn’t matter, someone trying to get clicks up’.
