With Dec. 15 here and trade season underway, the Los Angeles Lakers have emerged as one of the more active teams on the market, I’m told. No major splash expected, but LA is exploring marginal moves to continue improving the roster and solidify its place among the West’s elite.

90% of players are eligible to be traded without a restriction, including 82 that signed contracts in the offseason.

Tuesday Dec. 16 is the deadline for a player to be traded and have his salary aggregated in another trade by Feb. 5.

Would love to see us trade for a couple of players tomorrow so we could aggregate them at the deadline in a bigger deal.
