BREAKING: Kawhi Leonard signed a $28M “no-show job” endorsement deal with a fraudulent tree-planting company secretly funded by Clippers owner Steve Ballmer, documents obtained by Pablo Torre Finds Out allege. Does everyone go straight to X to read these…personally, I avoid anything and everything involving Elon Musk.
I had no qualms at the time of moving Shai Gilgeous Alexander in that trade. At time time, he was done with his rookie season, he averaged 10.8 mpg, and 3.3 apg….(even Dalton Knecht averaged 9.1 mpg in his highly disrupted rookie season)…it was the first round picks (swaps) which made the deal very lopsided at the time, however looking at the Bane trade recently…it’s become more off a norm. I feel the NBA must limit trades such as these, as it could really doom a franchise for years. As an example, perhaps allow one first and one 2nd round pick move in a trade, in addition to one pick swap. Yes, the salaries matching will make or break more trades, but “in the future” teams may think deeper about giving high salaries to unwarranted players, for example Jared Vanderbilt on a small scale, and Bradley Beal on the large scale.
At least Steve Ballmer will have plenty of toilets to sit on and think about what he has done. He should be banned from the NBA, the Clippers should be sold, seized by the league…..and Ballmer can go back to shouting like he’s about to have a CVA, TIA, and cruise the town in his Ford Fusion Hybrid, guess he got rid of his Taurus….
The only logical outcome would be to finally fold this tragedy of a franchise, once and for all. Also, may want to check the article title, Tom. Although I wouldn’t doubt they did some shady business with PG too.
Pretty sure this is about Kawhi but the title says Paul George.
My bad. Was running late to appt and just botched the post.
