JJ Redick calls out the refs "Luka got tripped. That was a blatant trip. He doesn't just fall on his own. We should have been at the free throw line. He got fouled"(h/t @ohnohedidnt24 ) pic.twitter.com/r4Kixc3eg5— NBACentral (@TheDunkCentral) April 27, 2025
Aloha,
It was a hard fought game that we could have won. I think for me it boils down to 3 things.
1. Way too much dribbling in the 4 th quarter. The ball movement stalled out as we tried to win one on one.
2. No substitutions in the 4th. I really that fatigue set in down the stretch.
3. JJ never should have called that time out. It was a one point lead and a scramble underneath. It gave the TWolves time to review the play. I would have made the TWolves take a time out to challenge. Either you get the ball in and then call time out or worst case, you have a time out left to set up a play.
We are up against us now. The biggest concern for the Lakers coming into the series was our lack of a center. Which came back to bite us in the butt. The TWolves beat us with 18 offensive rebounds.
We are not dead yet but it will be extremely hard to beat this team 3 in a row.
no way around it. LBJ missed 3 and TO were the undoing.
