As curious as Lakers fans were to see what Rondo would do in the postseason, the team is probably better off building up synergy between their new-look bench unit and letting Rondo be a leader from the sidelines. Doing anything else would be a mistake on Vogel’s part, unless Rondo’s role is minimal.
Every player reaches a point in their careers where they have to let other players fill their role, and with the talent the Lakers have at the guard positions, Rondo has reached his. Let’s hope locker room politics don’t get in the way of that natural progression, which is directly tied to the team’s postseason success.
For the NBA, it’s time to play, kneel and demand change
For the NBA, it's time to play, kneel and demand change. How a quest for racial justice is, as LeBron James likes to say about things that really matter, bigger than basketball.https://t.co/S4L0TORtJI

Devontae Cacok Provides Lakers Intriguing Potential for the future
Well the GHE gang got their wish and it looks like the Lakers in 6 will be the correct call. After needlessly padding their predictions with a game in each of the first three rounds, the law of averages finally came to save them. Lakers in 6 it is.
Time for Frank Vogel to shut down this misplaced fascination with trying to make JaVale McGee and Dwight Howard somehow heros in the era of the modern NBA. No freakin’ excuses that we need Dwight to protect AD or convoluted reasons for continuing to play into the Heat’s hands and start Howard. It’s like Trump pimping Putin for Christ’s sake.
The Heat’s pluck and luck is going to run out Sunday night. No more miracle shots banking in as the shot clock goes off, deflected passes bouncing to open shooters ala Robert Horry, and no more zebras looking to get paid for another playoff game. Jimmy and his troupe of eager overachievers go down in flames. Ef em all. No mercy, no respect, no taking the foot off the gas. Time for Mamba mentality.
