But the standout candidate is definitely DeWayne Dedmon. The first thing that jumps off the tape is his foot speed. His speed up and down the court for a legit 7 footer is frightening. An effortless speed that gets him where he needs to be in a hurry.

Great to see you aboard the Dewayne Dedmon train, Jonathan. He’s really the only modern center left at this point. We already have a 10-man rotation but there’s a solid 18-20 mpg available for Dewayne to help the Lakers and resurrect his career after being waived by Detroit.
I suspect if there were mutual interest, he’d have signed by now. Still could. Or he might be waiting out training camps for an injury and slide into an opportunity.
Could be but maybe he has no offers because there’s been no news at all about any teams being interested. The Lakers have not tipped their hat on any of their moves so far this offseason.
Or Dwayne could be weighing multiple offers or waiting for a specific situation to come up. Hard not to see that he and the Lakers are a great fit. We need a second modern center and he needs to redeem his career.
