Read MoreKNECHT & THIERO DISPLAY POTENTIAL!They're both part of the last 5 on the Lakers 15-man playoff roster but it was good to see Dalton Knecht and Adou Thiero get a chance to show the reasons why LA drafted both of them. It's easy to forget how talented both players are and what… https://t.co/umlanopbSm pic.twitter.com/TwrrjilZ0J— LakerTom (@LakerTom) April 13, 2026

Investing in assistant coaches to work five days a week 8 hours a day with Dalton Knecht and Adou Thiero would be a smart move by Lakers. It’s where Mark Walter’s money can make a difference.
I would like to see an effort to rehabilitate Dalton Knecht. What he went through was hell and obviously affected his confidence. But we saw a shooting talent that could be a valuable rotation player in this league if he couldn’t improve on defense. And if he could get his confidence back and improve on defense, he would be an excellent rotation player or trading chip.
Every young player on the Lakers )except for Luka and LeBron) should get their own summer coach and schedule to make sure they’re investing in their own and their team’s future.

JJ Redick has done a great job getting the Lakers without Luka and Austin ready to go into the playoffs with a LeBron James centric offense and defense that’s playing extremely well the last 3 games although against spotty competition.
Most impressed with how the defense has looked, which could even be better without Luka and Austin, who were two of the team’s weakest defenders. We lucked out and now face the Rockets, which gives us a better shot at winning first round and buying time for Luka and Austin to get healthy.

5 Things: Finding Some Grit
65 games in and the team is starting to look a little sterner, little grittier. One of the ugliest first halves I’ve seen since the 90’s man. The win was one of the more impressive of the season, in my opinion. 1) Luka finding solace on the court. Sounds like his personal life has been […]
