Feels like the Lakers have put themselves in a bind in the series with rapid swings.Luka misses a layup. Lakers don’t pick up Naz in transition.Instead of up 7, up 2.There were almost a half dozen sequences like that in G3.— Jason Timpf (@_JasonLT) April 27, 2025

Those missed layups, and the 3-point attempt at the end of the game cost us the game.

JJ Redick calls out the refs "Luka got tripped. That was a blatant trip. He doesn't just fall on his own. We should have been at the free throw line. He got fouled"(h/t @ohnohedidnt24 ) pic.twitter.com/r4Kixc3eg5— NBACentral (@TheDunkCentral) April 27, 2025

This is such a BAD look for the NBA Refs are literally rigging a playoff game 😭 pic.twitter.com/e4QkUB0xgb— LakeShowYo (@LakeShowYo) April 27, 2025

Refs definitely missed that kicked ball. Did we have a challenge or did Redick already squander it?

Luka stepped on his foot..that isn’t a trip and Redick looks foolish trying to claim it is

Aloha,
It was a hard fought game that we could have won. I think for me it boils down to 3 things.
1. Way too much dribbling in the 4 th quarter. The ball movement stalled out as we tried to win one on one.
2. No substitutions in the 4th. I really that fatigue set in down the stretch.
3. JJ never should have called that time out. It was a one point lead and a scramble underneath. It gave the TWolves time to review the play. I would have made the TWolves take a time out to challenge. Either you get the ball in and then call time out or worst case, you have a time out left to set up a play.
We are up against us now. The biggest concern for the Lakers coming into the series was our lack of a center. Which came back to bite us in the butt. The TWolves beat us with 18 offensive rebounds.
We are not dead yet but it will be extremely hard to beat this team 3 in a row.

PS-LBJ only took 9 shots?? Gonna be a long haul back to a game 7. Ant dug the hole and we fell into it.
-
That’s a bit deceptive DJ. He was fouled 8 times and went to the line. Thats 17 shot attempts.
-
-
“LBJ missed 3 and TO were the undoing.”
That is exactly right. That LeBron 3 should never have been the option with the game on the line. As soon as he missed it I knew right away the game was over. The turnover was the final nail in the coffin.

The Lakers’ surprise first round exit should ratchet up the pressure on Rob Pelinka to fix the broken roster that doomed L.A. in the playoffs and put together a legitimate championship caliber center rotation this summer.

5 Things: Playoff Thud
Took me a couple days to get to an objective place on this series. There was a lot the Lakers did right, plenty they did wrong, and some things you chalk up to bad luck. All in all, only thing that matters is that the 2024-25 NBA season is done for the Los Angeles lakers […]

FROM THE ABOVE ARTICLE:
Austin Reaves went scoreless in the first half, but stepped up with 17 points to finish the game.
He also had the chance to tie the game on the final possession, but missed the shot, which meant the Lakers would lose out Game 4.
This was another indication of how poor Reaves has been in the playoffs as his contributions have showed up in the stat sheet, but he has just failed to make any impact on the team as a whole.
