Stats don't show the following:
– A great close out
– Helping on D
– Altering a shot
– Setting a screen/pick
– Being a great teammate
– Proper floor spacing
– Hockey assists
– Setting the right pace
– Denying the ballEtc.
Box Score/adv stats never tell the whole story.#NBA

The Lakers did all of the above.
This is in my mind one of the reasons why plus/minus has value because it measures how well the team plays when a player is on the court. It’s no coincidence that Danny Green and Alex Caruso always seen to be higher in plus/minus than other Lakers. It’s those little things both do to help a team win that don’t show up in the box score.
By the way, the leader in Lakers playoffs plus/minus is Markieff Morris, followed by LeBron James, then Danny Green, then Anthony Davis, and then Rajon Rondo. Ironically, often the 5 players Frank Vogel closes games with. Not a coincidence. 6th by the way was KCP. They’re our version of the Death Lineup.
