Bronny James caught FIRE for the @lakers! ☀️He scored all 18 of his points in the second half vs. the Celtics. This was his highest scoring game in Vegas. #NBASummer pic.twitter.com/8PeBzBleYd— NBA G League (@nbagleague) July 18, 2025

Thought Koloko was the best defensive big in the G-League last year. Seeing a lot of what he brought to South Bay tonight.— Raj C. (@RajChipalu) July 18, 2025

Not even sure how to respond. First the Trailblazers made it clear that they intend to keep Holiday. 2nd your trade gives them 17 players under contract. 3rd they already have a very good forward rotation with Avidija, Camara who was 2nd team all nba defense last year, Grant and Thybule. Don’t see why they would want to trade for Rui. And losing Rui would give our forward depth very thin. Holiday at the 3? He’s 6’ 4”. He might be a good defender but teams would be posting him up all day. Don’t forget, Rui not only starts at the 3 but he is our best option at the 4 when LeBron rests. Just another example of your Rui hate.

Jrue was huge for the Bucks & Celts during their title runs…but he’s not the same dude. Still a good player but I’m not sure you send out a buncha dudes to get him. Pick up one of these guards off the buyout market, keep your assets for a better trade, and just roll with that. There aren’t alotta moves out there that’ll get us closer to OKC this season.

I feel like Melton will decide where GP2 ends up. Melton comes here, GP2 goes to Golden State. DAM heads north, we get the Glove 2.0

The Warriors still have the non tax payer MLE left, so they can and probably will out bid us. I’m not sure what the Lakers will do beyond waiving Shake. The Lakers are also monitoring the Marcus Smart situation. I actually like Smart better because he is capable of running an offense. And he is better offensively the GPII

FROM THE ABOVE ARTICLE:
“They both average about 9 assists over their career span, and just the type of players they create with their teammates. They turn them into superstars, they make them bigger than their roles, they make them very important on the floor. Just seeing that and finally getting the chance to go in and experience that would be big for me. Just getting me back to my full form of how I used to play, you know, coming up and being a part of the (NBA) Finals. It’s those playmakers I’m used to having around me that’s leading to wins.”

The #Lakers have received no indication from James or his representatives that he would request a trade or ask to be bought out of the final year of his contract.(via @joevardon x @DanWoikeSports ) pic.twitter.com/sOOYtGCwiT— Kneelo Elim (@theknproject) July 16, 2025

Bronny has proven that deserved to be drafted, perhaps even higher than at #55. He didn’t play much in college after his cardiac arrest on the court. That had to be a big mental hurdle to overcome. Being Lebron’s son didn’t help, so he looked terrible last summer. I watched a lot of G league and saw him grow last year. Now he is looking like he could become a decent role player in the league. Perhaps not this year but he is only 20, so he has time. The weird thing is Dalton tore up the summer league last year and game into the season firing. Now he seems to be in his head and has not looked good. With his current level of play, he doesn’t have to worry about being a trade target. Hopefully he can turn it around because we really need some bench scoring.
