Twelve-time All-Star Chris Paul has agreed to a deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, CAA's Steven Heumann, Ty Sullivan and Jessica Holtz told ESPN. Paul had multiple suitors, but chose the contending Clippers and their shared history in L.A. for his likely final, 21st NBA season. pic.twitter.com/qC640MFFeI— Shams Charania (@ShamsCharania) July 21, 2025
The Clippers just signed Chris Paul — wild, right? Not that I care.
Here’s the jaw-dropper: how are they pulling this off with those monster deals for Harden and Kawhi already on the books? Aren’t they deep in salary cap territory?
It’s like the salary cap rules don’t apply to them! Someone please explain how LA keeps adding talent like they’re shopping at a luxury buffet with unlimited credit. Are they bending space, time, or just stacking exceptions and veteran minimums like a game of Jenga?
Seriously, the Clippers’ front office might be playing 4D chess while the rest of us are stuck in checkers. It’s bold, it’s baffling, and somehow… it works.
