   If the Lakers can get Al Horford for the BAE I still would. That's just a human being I would really like around Deandre Ayton as he tries to get back on track.

   Something to keep in mind salary-wise for the Lakers: if they use the BAE, they only have around $500,000 left in hard cap space.

   That makes trades much harder. Like, the often-discussed Rui+Knecht for Wiggins trade isn't possible without another contract involved (Gabe?)

         I think at this point, every team in the league knows the Lakers have no plans for Shake Milton….Hoops Hype reports this about his salary ” No money guaranteed in 2025/26, HoopsHype has learned. Guarantee increases to full if not waived by July 20, 2025”….so it would be advantageous to waive him before then…any team slightly interested in him could just wait 18 more days and see….
