Aloha,
Nick Richards is one more center option. He averaged 9 pts, 8.2 rebounds 2.7 offensive, and a block in 22 minutes. His salary is 5 mil. Even after the Durant trade the Suns are still deep in the 2nd apron. What would be appealing for the Suns is they could trade him into the Lakers MLE or Bi annual, without taking back salary. Now would they take our 2032 2nd for him? Perhaps if they can’t find a better deal they might consider it. They brought in two new centers. I am not sure of the 2nd apron multipliers but they save minimum of 2.5 mil in taxes and his 5 mil salary. Even if we were to sign Ayton, Richards would be a great pick up.
Been one of my top 3 targets all along. Rob “Stone Turner” probably wont get it done, though.
Horford and Richards would fine. I’d trade Dalton for a S&T’d Richards in a heart beat. This is all quite astoundjng…
The beauty of a Richard’s trade is they are unlikely to want players back be of their 2nd apron status. They still need a PG as well with Jones moving on. I’m sure they would do a deal for a 2nd round pick with no player coming back. There is a multiplier that I have figured out but looking at similar deals and the draft pick coming in they could save close to 20 mil by moving Richard’s. I was kind of surprised when they didn’t cut him. Perhaps they are looking to trade him for a PG.
Of course the question is can they do better than the Lakers 2032 2nd round pick.
Dalton Knecht is more available with the signing of the guy I can’t remember his name. I like Dalton’s game, and wish he gets at least another season as a Laker to show he can be a regular contributor. He cannot be a “center” however, and that is the problem….and other teams don’t want “The Vandolorian”/cracks me up whenever I see, used to see that, Vincent, Kleber (MIA, maybe ICE relocated him by mistake), and Milton (MIA).
