None of this makes sense…we’re not gonna have the coin for 3/4’s of the guys on this list unless we let DFS walk, which would be a bad choice IMO. In free agency Nick Richards should be at the top of the list. He’s the only one in our price range that I like, maybe Kornet but I’m kinda ‘meh’ on him in general.
Lakers should zero in on Capella. Win-now center who can/will help on both ends and still be the lob threat Luka likes. After that it’s either wholly unrealistic or not really an upgrade over Jax.
Not sure where, again, the Jaxson Hayes shade comes from. All he did last season was rise to the occasion before he got outclassed in his first, limited, tase of a true playoff role. He needs to cut down on fouls, add some weight, and keep working on a post move beyond dunks. Everything else is coming along OK. Dude is 25, still upside left untapped.
I’d be just fine retaining Jaxson Hayes, you read it here folks. I think Mongo said it yesterday, too, actually. or something akin to that.
I’ve felt for a while that I’d like to see Brook Lopez and Plumlee at veteran minimum, and Jaxson Hayes, as 3rd center at the $5million whatever he can get…..but Hayes probably wants to move on, for more playing time….Lakers did win many of their games with his high energy and people should not forget that.
