5. LEAGUE LEADING TRANSITION AND EARLY OFFENSE
During the championship season, the Lakers played at a 101.20 pace, which was the 7th best pace in the NBA that year. Last season, the Lakers pace dropped to 98.85, 21st out of the 30 teams in the league.https://t.co/ePkkGvhwug pic.twitter.com/MJfyiLcmfC

If you have watched Russell Westbook play, then you understand why transition and early offense could be one of the Lakers’ biggest areas of improvement. If Russ could make the Wizards the top fast break team in the league, imagine what he can do with LeBron and AD running the wings and Ellington and Bazemore spotting up.
Transition offense should probably be moved up to third on my list of six areas where the Lakers improved their offense. What do you think?
100% yes and if we’re not an elite fast-breaking team we’re in biiiiiiiiiiiig trouble.
This probalby should have been #2 or #3 on the list in retrospect. If Russ can make the Wizards the fastest paced team in the league, what should we expect from the Lakers?
