I’m starting to think one of the reasons I’m not high on Drummond is it will prevent us from optimizing Trezz. We’ve seen glimpses of our trapping, rotating, and switching defense looking very effective with Trezz. He’s not a rim protector but he’s a lot more mobile than Gasol or than Drummond. And he does a pretty good job when trapping and doubling.
Don’t want to see the non-AD at the five minutes go to trying to feed the ball into the post to an inefficient Drummond who will clog the paint up. I’d rather see Boogie stretching the defense and opening lanes for AD and LeBron or lots of LeBron, Dennis, or THT and Trezz pick-and-rolls killing the opposition. Hoping Dre goes to the Knicks.
A Knicks first round pick could be useful. Not a bad idea.
